Experience is Everything!
We always talk about how we aren't some large studio are treat the people like cattle. We thrive to know, befriend, and heck even shed a tear with our clients.
This session was far the coolest this week. Why?
1) We got to drive to Boulder to shoot a Cherry Creek High School Class of 2015 Senior girl!
2) We got to visit Boxcar Roasters in Boulder
3) We got to shoot something so awesomely new, and also shoot something popular yet, in the artistic way I shoot! A way to make it mine, which sadly a lot of photographers aren't able to do with such high shooting volumes.
The day started off great! I went to bed at 1am'ish. Woke up at 6am tired as crap and just wanted to drink my mocha, but then realized I was going to grab espresso with my clients in Boulder so that cheered me up! So, I decided to load the truck with all my equipment and head out a tad early! Our session was schedule for 7:45am.. with traffic...... and leaving early.... we were LATE... See awesome WAZE snapshot of my iPhone!
I wish my client (Kalie) had Waze, cause that I could have did a team drive, and had fun sitting in stupid traffic, but whatever!
We all got there fine. Some later than others... cough cough... Kalie!!!!!! haha We sat down at Boxcar and drank our espresso drinks and talked. It was awesome!
I know there is gonna be wicked chemistry between me and my model for a day when the first instinct is to greet each other for the first time with a big hug!
We had an awesome session walking about 4 to 5 miles and talking about food... umm yea it was about lunch time when we ended Our stomachs were saying to quit and so was the light drizzle or rain. LOL
All in all it was such an amazing session filed with stories, laughter, cactus eating, picking catching spikes out of peoples fingers, and my assistant playing with the reflector like a giant kite. Kalie's mom was so amazingly cool was in for the whole experience. You don't get cool moms like that every day. Now I need to make some time to go back and jump in that creek cause that water was amazingly clear!!! You coming?
