SOMETIMES YOU DON'T GET A LOT OF TIME AND LUCK OUT IN THE WOODS NEXTDOOR

“I received a call that, quite frankly, left me both excited and a bit nervous.”

An influential figure in the business world had seen my photography headshots and portraits of powerful CEOs, authors and actors, and he wanted ME to shoot his portrait. The catch? He had a mere 25 minutes to spare before catching a private jet for a crucial business meeting on the West Coast.

As I prepared for the shoot, I knew this was more than just a quick session; it was a chance to create something unique and impactful. My assistant, as always, was exceptional. He deftly set up a heavy lighting rig while maintaining a light-hearted atmosphere as we moved through the woods, harnessing the natural beauty around us.

The challenge was immense. With only a short window to capture a powerful image that blended a Hollywood cinematic style with the gravitas of a CEO from a Fortune 10 corporation, I had to be on my game. I envisioned a look that merged the sleek, polished feel of Apple with the vibrant energy of the VaynerMedia culture.

As the warm sun began its descent, I took full advantage of the remaining greenery, creating a dreamy, vibrant mood that enveloped the scene. I could sense the energy between us; his authentic smiles revealed that he was enjoying the process. Every click of the shutter felt like I was nailing his mood board, capturing not just a headshot, but a story that spoke to his charisma and leadership.

This experience reinforced for me the importance of adaptability and creativity in portrait photography. Working under tight time constraints can be daunting, but it also pushes you to think outside the box and create something that resonates deeply.

For anyone looking for exceptional headshots in Portland, Maine, and Southern Maine, I believe it’s crucial to blend professionalism with a personal touch. Whether you’re a CEO, an Author, Business Owner, in Finance, or of course an actor, and need me to elevate “your brand”, the right headshot or environmental “in the woods” Portrait can make all the difference. It’s about more than just a photograph; it’s about capturing your essence in a way that sets you apart.

As we wrapped up the session, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to work with someone of such influence. The blend of our energy and creativity, even in a brief 25 minutes, resulted in images that I hope will resonate far beyond this moment. Each photograph tells a story—one of confidence, authenticity, and the perfect balance of artistry and professionalism that defines my work.
