HEADSHOT IS A HEADSHOT IS A HEADSHOT

I get several calls a week asking about headshots. Most people are looking for pricing. Well duh, I would be as well. They aren't photographers. They only know limited information, and the main thing that they know is, "I need a headshot." So there are a variety of styles when it comes to "headshots."  But lets clear the air of the Los Angeles smog. A headshots is a headshot is a HEADSHOT. Everything else is called a Portrait. A Headshot is, well.... It's a shot of your head. That's all. The term comes from the acting/modeling industry, and growing up in the Hollywood game and my entire life has consisted of weekly conversations about so and so getting a new headshot. Now that I shoot them, and it means a whole lot more than "just a headshots."

So, quickly lets talk about what you really need and why they are such solid investment.

Q: Do you need or want a headshots?
A: Yes, everyone needs one. In fact, resumes are now requiring them.

Q: Do you want Studio or Outside?
A: Personal preference unless your company says which they prefer.

Q: Why is it so costly?
A: There is a lot of work that goes into a headshot session. Here are a couple (Taxes at 30%, Insurances at 15%, Assistants: $15+ an hour. 1 hour to set up studio, 1-2 hours to shoot your headshots. 5-10 hours of post production. 1 hour communication and delivery of files, but wait there's more. (Lol) subscriptions and gear purchases.  No short answer to give for this one.

Lastly, when is the last time you got your headshot taken? When are you most likely going to have it taken again? Hopefullly you see that what I charge is pretty affordable as a business. Also, what I charge may differ from the next business. Different style, services, experience etc etc.

BUT more than cost is the experience and final product. Do you look your very best? Did you have fun and enjoy hanging out with such an amazing bro? The answer is always yes when I take your headshot. I am your image brander. If you don't look, I don't look good!

If a small investment in an amazingly, fun headshot experience can get you that  $7,000, $25,000 bump in income, because they see how serious or approachable you look, what's a couple hundred bucks? Plus, you get to support and artist and BuyLocal business! So if you are in Portland Maine  and need a headshot or want to fly up to my studio or on location on the East or West coast, just hit me up!

Finally- Doesn't Britt just look stunning?
