MOTORCYCLE GANGS HIT SOUTH PORTLAND MAINE
A part of my job is social media. Actually, 90% of my job is sitting on Social Media trying to find clients who value my work enough to commission me and my staff to create. Of that 90%, 80% of the time I look for opportunities to create tangible opportunities to get out and serve people. Last night I saw a Facebook Post Title and it grabbed my attention, so I read the post and responded to it. Next thing you know only a couple hours later I'm the photographer at this event of these motorcycle gangs in now in South Portland.
I've seen the TV show Sons of Anarchy, and I have seen Gangs of New York, (short segment on fire fighters), add Fire Fighters and Motorcycle and boy I'm sure that means trouble. I showed up and made sure I was CCWed and watching my back. I know, I know dramatic, but if I could explain the day I have today (two 3 hour long photoshoots, and came home to a broker water pipe somewhere in the walls, (yes I fixed it after an hour and half!) you would know I have a slight flair for the drama!
So, today here in South Portland there were man many many bikers. They came from every direction. Even as far as California, (I think they knew I needed some California vibes out here!) And of course the Local 1476 Chapter came out and did a great job organizing things! Many of these guys/gals I know from taking their headshots with the South Portland Fire Department, but many I wish I had more time to get to know! I can't even express how nice these guys were, not in a sissy lala nice, but like warm hearted, lets ride, I got your back kind of nice! Glad to have met all of you, and best of luck and safe travels back to your homes! A big thanks for your service!
